MODULE 1
By the end of class 1, the students will have a deeper understanding of the history and tradition of Ayurveda. Knowledge of basic Ayurvedic terms, such as Doshas according to the 5 Elements, Prakruti & Vikruti. Students will have a very basic understanding of the differences between the Doshas and take a self assessment quiz.

MODULE 2
By the end of class 2, the students will have a better understanding of how to choose and apply oils according to the constitution & how Ayurvedic massage affects the physiology of the Lymphatic System, Nervous System & the 5 subtle energetic bodies.

MODULE 3
The students will have a deeper understanding of the Vata dosha and how to adjust their treatment protocol to balance the client’s, as well as their own, Vata imbalances.

MODULE 4
By the end of class 4, the students will have a more confident approach to the Ayurvedic style of Abhyanga Massage. They will have a deeper understanding of the Pitta dosha and how to address the healing to balance the client’s, as well as their own, Pitta imbalances.
MODULE 5
By the end of class 5, the students will have a more confident approach to the Ayurvedic style of giving an Ayurvedic massage, Abhyanga. They will have a deeper understanding of the Kapha dosha and how to use Garshana for a Kapha constitution.

MODULE 6
By the end of class 6, students will have a complete understanding of the benefits and contraindications of Shirodhara and be oriented to the treatment.
MODULE 7
Introduce other therapies practiced clinically in Ayurveda and how to use them for self - care. Review on all we have learned so far to prepare for the final. Hands on final exam given in class.
